Prime Minister’s Education Excellence Awards 2019

Rotorua Boys' High School was a finalist in the excellence in leading, teaching and learning, and health and wellbeing education categories for the 2019 Prime Minister’s Education Excellence Awards .

As well as winning the Supreme Award, RBHS also won the Excellence in Leading award.

Te Arawa Regional Kapa Haka Competition 2019

Raukura Kapa Haka was one of 10 Te Arawa schools who performed this year at our Regional Competition. We were wowed by an exhilarating, awe-inspiring performance which saw them place 1st overall.

2019 New Zealand School Students Chinese Short Film Contest

Four students; Sameed Khan, Daniel Meneses, Jimah Ruland-Umata and Michael Stanley worked together to make a short film in Chinese. It received the Best Language Award in the 2019 New Zealand School Students Chinese Short Film Contest. The movie is about the importance of happiness.

Tabloids 2018

It was also a colourful afternoon as the boys boys brought into the team spirit and wore their house colours proudly. Staff also added some colour for their respective Houses and they pushed our boys along as they took on each challenge.
