    The Apple Distinguished School distinction highlights our commitment to integrating Apple technology into education, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking among our students. Being an Apple Distinguished School means we are part of a global network of schools that lead the way in using technology to enhance learning experiences and prepare students for the future.

    We are proud to be a 1:1 iPad school, ensuring that each student has access to an iPad to support their learning journey. Our teaching staff are equipped with both MacBooks and iPads, enabling them to deliver a curriculum that is rich in creativity and deeply integrated with technology. This setup allows teachers to design interactive, engaging lessons and provide personalised learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our students. With these tools, we are able to foster a dynamic learning environment that prepares our students for success in a digital world.

    We aim to maintain a culture of digital fluency across our staff, with a goal of ensuring that 100% of our teachers are Apple Teacher certified. Apple Teacher certification recognises educators who demonstrate the skills and confidence to use Apple technology effectively to support learning, creativity, and collaboration in the classroom.

    Within our staff we are proud to have three Apple Distinguished Educators: Mrs Melissa Magatogia (2023), Mrs Anna Hay (2026), and Mr Jeremy Te Huia (2026). Apple Distinguished Educators are recognised by Apple as innovative education leaders who are using technology to transform teaching and learning. They are selected through a global programme that identifies educators who are leading change, creating meaningful learning experiences for students, and sharing best practice with other educators both locally and internationally.

    Having Apple Distinguished Educators within our school strengthens our commitment to digital innovation. They support staff professional learning, help develop new teaching approaches using Apple tools, and contribute to the wider education community through presentations, resource development, and collaboration with schools across Aotearoa and beyond.
