Year 11 Camp 2019

Year 11 camp again was a success. With 60 odd students attending over the week long camp. Starting at school the boys ran the short 10km to The Waipa Mill and Planet Bike, where the boys had a quick bite to eat before embarking on a 2 and half hour ride through the beautiful Redwood forest. Many boys enjoyed this tourist attraction for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed both the physical and mental demand of the activity.

After saying thank you to the staff at Planet Bike the students were shipped to Te Takinga Marae where they bunked up for the night ready for Day 2.

On Day 2 students were woken to a cold but sunny morning and once breakfast was squared away they were bused to Rotorua Rafting. Here they were decked out in state of the art flotation devices ready for the epic trip down the Kaituna river and over the Tutea Falls. The highest commercially rafted water falls in the world, which flows 7meters high. Many students had never done this activity before and the photos prove that all enjoyed the experience.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank both Planet Bike and Rotorua Rafting for providing our students with an awesome experience and we look forward to coming back next year.
