Physics

What is Physics about?

Physics is the study of the physical world.  Physics encompasses the study of the universe from the largest galaxies to the smallest subatomic particles. Moreover, it's the basis of many other sciences, including chemistry, oceanography, seismology, and astronomy (and can be applied to biology or medical science).

Our vision is to:

Equip our students with the ability to solve complex problems and give an accurate analysis of wave systems, electricity and mechanics.

Why study Physics?

Physics is a vital part of our modern world because it explains how our technology works. Physics is a great preparation for almost any career because it teaches students how to analyse complex numerical problems, a skill that can be used in almost any technical field. There is a worldwide shortage of graduates and young people with these skills and an understanding of physics is in high demand in everything from science and technology, in academia, the government or the private sector. Specific job areas include; astrophysics, medical physics, material science, computing, biophysics, renewable energy and quantum information science. The leaders of future industry will be Physics graduates.
